A previously unseen photo of a young, makeup-free Melania Trump has surfaced, potentially settling the debate over who her teenage son Barron more closely resembles – her or his father, former US President Donald Trump.
The black and white images were shared by photographer Stane Jerko, who discovered the would-be First Lady when she was just a teenager, with Today in 2017.
In the photos, a 16-year-old Melania appears fresh-faced and youthful, dressed simply in jeans and a white top or a white bandeau and skirt. The Slovenian native’s features are softer, her face rounder, and her eyebrows more pronounced.

Melania is noticeably devoid of heavy makeup, a stark contrast to the polished image we’re accustomed to seeing at Republican National Conventions or walking the halls of the White House in structured dresses, designer shoes, and professionally styled hair and makeup.

These innocent photos also differ greatly from the provocative shots she may be including in her upcoming self-titled memoir, Melania, set to release on October 8. Interestingly, these early pictures bear a striking resemblance to her teenage son, Barron, who began his studies at NYU earlier this month.
Barron Trump stands out with his distinguished brown locks and heavy brows, a far cry from the light and airy hairstyle that has become an infamous point of humor about his father. Towering over his father, Barron’s striking heighta feature even Trump admitted might have led him down a path in sportsshows a slim figure sharply contrasting with his dad’s.

At a private gathering, guests summed up their impressions of Barron Trump in just three succinct words.
The former president acknowledges the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, especially when it pertains to Barron’s resemblance to his mother Melania. In an intimate interview with The Palm Beach Post back in 2006, Trump expressed: “He looks more like Melania. He’s like her in temperament. Very calm.”
Melania Trump, on the other hand, shares the poignant reason behind her decision to stop at one child. During an appearance on Fox and Friends, she shed light on the matter, saying while Trump wanted to expand their brood, she was content with their only son.
Discussing family matters on “Fox and Friends” on September 26, Melania elaborated on her role within the family, stating: “I know how busy he is and I’m in charge of everything,” ultimately choosing not to have more children due to Trump’s lack of involvement in parenting duties.
