Ballistic missiles rained down on Israel in what appears to be Iran’s vengeful strike following the assassination of the prominent Hezbollah leader Hassan Nesrallah.
Sirens are ringing throughout Israel, urging citizens to seek immediate cover as incoming missiles boast a mere 12-minute warning time, according to Axios reports.
This alarming situation unfolds shortly after CNNs Military Analyst Lt. General Mark Hertling, US Army (ret) Mark Hertling, cautioned that the Iron Dome’s defense capability might not hold up under certain conditions, reports the Express US.
He elaborated: “If you get good coordination between rockets which can be destroyed by the Iron Dome and ballistic missiles and drones, if they’re coordinated in the right way it could certainly overwhelm Israeli’s air defense and even the fighter jets working in the area.”
