P Diddy’s lawyer explained what Diddy’s thought process is as he sits behind bars awaiting a hearing over sex trafficking charges
Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs continues to “vehemently” deny all allegations of wrongdoing against him, so he likely won’t accept a plea deal, according to his lawyer
The rapper was charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transpiration to engage in prostitution which spurred his arrest in New York following a grand jury indictment.
The criminal charges were brought against Diddy following a slew of civil lawsuits, starting in late 2023 with a complaint filed by ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, which was settled out of court within a day. Homeland Security then conducted raids on his Los Angeles and Miami homes where they allegedly found 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube.
Despite the allegations, the entertainment mogul’s lawyer insists that Diddy is not looking to accept a plea deal because he truly believes he’s innocent. In TMZ’s The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, Marc Agnifilo said, “It’s not up to me. It’s up to Mr. Combs,” adding, “and I don’t see [him accepting a plea deal] happening because he believes he’s innocent. And what’s more, he believes that he needs to stand up not just for himself – for his family and for everybody who’s been targeted by the federal government.”

Diddy’s team previously insisted that he was being targeted by the government after raids took place, calling the act a “gross overuse of military-level force.” They claimed Diddy cooperated with authorities during, what they say, was a “witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.”
Now, the number of lawsuits with allegations against the rapper has exponentially risen as 120 individuals are set to file complaints against him. Attorney Tony Buzbee, who will be representing these individuals, held a press conference to deliver the news. He noted: “This is an important matter that we intend to aggressively pursue. We will leave no stone unturned to find all potentially liable parties, to include any individual or entity who participated in or benefited from this egregious behavior.”
Additionally, Diddy is not the only household name expected to appear in the lawsuits. Buzbee declined to specify, but did add that the public will be “shocked” by those identified and accused in the legal documents.
