Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has been seen out and about for the first time since he announced he had fathered a child with a woman who isn’t his wife, Jordyn Blum
Dave Grohl has been seen shopping for Halloween decorations with his daughter as he made his first public outing since his bombshell baby news.
The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, was spotted at a Spirit Halloween store in Los Angeles with his 10-year-old daughter Ophelia on Sunday morning. He noticeably wasn’t wearing his wedding ring as he pushed a cart full of spooky decorations.
Grohl unloaded the purchases, which included two large skeletons, into his pickup truck before leaving the store. He wore a casual outfit for the shopping trip, opting for a pair of dark blue shorts and a matching T-shirt.
The musician also wore a baseball cap and a pair of black Vans. He has been keeping a low profile recently and this was the first time he’s been seen out in public since he announced he fathered a child with a woman who isn’t his wife, Jordyn Blum.
Famed body language expert Judi James told the Mirror that Grohl “picked the best props for this first sighting in public.”
“It’s hard to look stressed or even down-beat when you’re loading Halloween skeletons into your car from a shopping trolley,” she added. “His stride and up-curled toes suggest an amount of energy and positivity here and at times his chin is raised as though he’s relaxed and even keen to be seen out and about in public. ”
Grohl also “looked amused” by the “gruesome goods” at the store. James then noted that the way the singer’s jaw is “dropped open,” could show a sign of some “tension.”
“The tip of his tongue protruding to register either a desire to focus hard on the job at hand, or to register some sense of rejection as he works what looks like the graveyard shift,” James said.

Grohl shared the shocking news of his new baby in an Instagram statement, writing: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”
“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.” he then asked fans for privacy as he said: “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
It’s not currently known who the mother of Grohl’s new child is. Following news of his affair, Foo Fighters are reportedly taking an indefinite hiatus.
The band also pulled out of Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with just three days notice. Having been billed for Sunday night, the band announced the news on X on Thursday.

A statement read: “Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information.”
Following the cancelation, a source told The Sun: “The band need time to be with their families and focus on regrouping.” They added: “It’s been a turbulent few years, with the loss of their best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins, the death of Dave’s mom and now the birth of his new child.”
“He wants to be at home and focus on earning back the trust of his family.” The source said the hiatus is the best thing for the band at this time.

While fans were shocked by the cheating scandal, a source claim his wife “knew” Grohl had been cheating on her. Despite this, the source says those close to Jordyn don’t believe she was aware of how bad the cheating was.
Speaking to The New York Post, the insider added: “She’s a nice, wonderful woman.” The comments come after another source suggested Dave was trying to own up to his mistakes by going public with the baby news.
“He feared the mother or someone else would spill the news. It’s his way to own up that he’s made mistakes,” a source claimed to In Touch Magazine. The Mirror has approached Dave’s representatives for comment.
Jordyn and the musician have been married since 2003 after they met at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in West Hollywood, California. They share three daughters together – Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10.
