Whenever we need a bra, we’re fighting over it,’ fashion influencer Brigette Pheloung, who’s known as ‘Acquired Style’ online, said on a podcast with her twin
Sisters share clothes, sure, but are these identical twins taking it too far?
During an appearance on the Gals On The Go Podcast, fashion influencers Brigette and Danielle Pheloung (known as “Acquired Style” online) revealed a sibling habit that many may argue was TMI to share.
Do you want to know something crazy?” Brigette asks hosts Danielle Carolan and Brooke Miccio during the Sept. 11 episode. “Wait I’m actually embarrassed to say this,” she says, looking down and biting her lower lip.
“We only have one bra,” she reveals while sitting beside her sister.
The hosts, each taken aback by the shared revelation, responded with both a laugh and an expression of shock before Danielle immediately adds, “And we share underwear.” Brigette, uninhibited, restated the fact to confirm.
The NYC-based twins, 27, — who are roommates known for sharing their OOTDs and day-the-life videos on their respective social media platforms — said they have a “shared drawer” between the two of them.
Brigette then went on to defend the “one bra” statement. “We only have one bra because we don’t wear bras,” she explains. “But whenever we need a bra, we’re fighting over it.”
Danielle chimed in and made clear that they actually have two bras, but one that’s nude and one that’s black. “So it’s basically like having one bra,” Brigette reasons, joking that the podcast listeners are going to now think she and her sister are “weird as f–k.”
When asked by Carolan why their shared undergarment habit exists, Danielle says it’s because they’ve “never been apart.”
Not long after the podcast video was uploaded, Brigette posted a TikTok video in collaboration with her sister that poked fun at their controversial conversation. The caption simply reads, “If ykyk.”
The clip featured Brigette and Danielle jokingly screaming and fighting over a nude-colored bra with a text overlay that says, “How you guys expected us to act the second we decided we were moving away from each other.”
Brigette and Danielle explained that they shared the same makeup bag until five years ago, noting that they have very similar makeup routines. Plus, they use the same brand of self-tanner, go to the same nail and hair salon and, of course, share clothes.
However, they’ve established a very strict rule on the latter. “You can not wear something that’s new until I wear it,” states Brigette — to which Danielle replies, “But we always break the rule.”
They also have unique strategy when buying new clothes and accessories since they share almost everything together. Danielle explained that “big ticket” items like purses will be individual purchases, but simple pieces like “a black tank top” will be bought to share.
With a sign and her head in her hand, Brigette says, “Big problems when we move.”
