Monday marks one year since Hamas terrorists’ brutal attack on Israel — killing 1,200 innocent Israelis and taking 250 hostage — that incited war in the region. Ninety-seven hostages are still being held captive in Gaza.
Thousands of pro-terror protesters have swarmed Manhattan, with one group — led by the anti-Israel org Within Our Lifetime — starting on Wall St. and moving uptown, growing to about 2,000 people.
Another throng descended upon Washington Square Park before migrating uptown as well.
At least six protesters have been arrested
A Dem supergroup took the stage in Central Park: New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, House Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, New York Attorney General Letitia James — and NYC Mayor Eric Adams.
None of the Dem leaders approached or interacted with Adams on stage.
There are huge lines outside Central Park as concertgoers line up to come in. There are no signs of protesters inside of park, as police have established a perimeter.
Nova Music Festival survivor Natalie Sanandaji took the stage shortly after 6 p.m. and addressed the crowd:
“Our community, in Israel, in New York — around the world — will never forget the hundreds murdered, the hundreds kidnapped and taken hostage,” she said.
“The rape. The unspeakable acts of violence against mothers and fathers, children and babies. So many ordinary people.”
After her speech, a singer performed a cover of Adele’s “Hello.”
