General Hospital fans agree “Dante is dead to me” as they hope that he “suffers some type of consequence” for his involvement in attempting to covering up his fathers crimes.

During the latest episode of General Hospital, viewers were praying on Dante Falconeri’s downfall as he will predictably interfere in federal investigation to conceal Sonny Corinthos’ tracks. As Alexis Davis is currently behind bars for a murder that Sonny committed, fans are growing even more frustrated as Dante continues to use his power on the police force to interfere with the investigation.

This comes as Dante previously used his position as a detective to protect his family of criminals when he went out on a limb for his sister Kristina in the John “Jagger” Cates murder case. And while viewers are rallying for Dante to be fired from his job, Cody Bell is continuing to encourage him to go against his duties.

During a tense confrontation in the police station, Cody insisted that Dante should “withhold evidence” in order to protect Sonny, as he claims it’s something that “cops do all the time.” He went on to pose the question: “After everything that FBI guy did to your family I think it just comes down to one simple question: which one is more important to you – your family or your job?”

Elsewhere in the episode, Dex Heller revealed to Dante that they found the gun that Alexis disposed of but they were keeping the evidence under wraps for the time being. After sharing this confidential information, Dex urged Dante to keep it to himself. But predictably, Dante immediately fled to the police station – likely to share the news to his father before he confesses to murder.

And as the episode left off on a cliffhanger, General Hospital fans took to a newly posted Reddit thread as they aired out their grievances with Dante. One viewer wrote: “Wish Dante would leave the police force altogether already.” And another added: “Dante is dead to me. Let Sonny go to prison for his crimes!”

And someone else chimed in: “Both Kristina and Dante know he’s guilty and they still don’t want Sonny to go to jail and no one is angry that he let Alexis rot in jail. These people have the moral compass of a swamp.” While a third optimistically penned: “Well at least if Dante gives Sonny a heads up he has to do it in front of Anna which will probably cause him to suffer some type of consequence since he’s interfering in a federal investigation.”

Other viewers hoped Dante would experience some type of wake up call that he is risking his career for a man that has shot him. One fan wrote: “I really wish Dante would have a flashback of when Sonny shot him and how Sonny is just always going to be doing s— like this. Even though I have enjoyed how their relationship has evolved, this would be a good full circle moment.”
