Rebecca Loos is living out of the limelight, shunning the limelight after becoming a household name following the extraordinary claims of an affair with David Beckham.

The Dutch model and TV star hit the headlines in 2004 after allegedly having an affair with the soccer star while working as his family’s assistant.

In a sensational new Netflix documentary – released today (October 4) on the streaming giant – the Beckhams finally opened up about the scandal that nearly destroyed their marriage 20 years ago.

 

Victoria said the months afterwards were the ‘hardest’ of her life and that she no longer felt like the couple ‘had each other’ – while David admitted he still doesn’t know how they got through the 2003 crisis, but he and his wife knew they had to ‘fight for their family’.

The England star admitted they felt like they were ‘suffocating’ as their marriage dominated the headlines – and said he ‘felt physically ill every day’.

But that’s a distant memory for Loos, 45, who left the bustling city life after meeting her Norwegian doctor husband on the reality show 71 Degrees North.

She now lives in Norway and spends her time practicing yoga, running, biking and hiking with her sons. Dailymail.

Throughout her career, Loos appeared on several UK television shows, including Celebrity Love Island, Extreme Celebrity Detox, Temptation Island and The X Factor: Battle of the Stars.

She also appeared on the cover of magazines including Playboy, FHM, Nuts and Zoo.

In 2004, she was reported to have had an affair with David Beckham and allegedly earned £1 million from the drama, according to TheMirror.

Speaking of SkyNews at the time, Rebecca claimed to have slept with David at least four times. She claimed the affair began on September 18 during a group dinner.

 

She recalled having ‘a few drinks’, saying: ‘There had been some flirting and I was getting some hints but I kept saying to myself: ‘No he doesn’t like you’.

Loos said she would always remind herself not to jeopardize her job, knowing there was ‘great danger if I got involved with this man’.

“That night we just adjusted. It was the first time, we were just focused on each other all night talking. People noticed it,” she said.

Loos discussed the alleged relationship in numerous media interviews and television appearances, but the claims were never substantiated and denied by the former footballer.

The glamor model lost her job but sold her story to News Of The World and used fame for financial gain.

When asked about Victoria’s attitude towards her, Loos said she wasn’t ‘expecting a word of sympathy’ from the former Spice Girl member.

She admitted it was ‘bad enough to do what she did’ and hoped the Beckhams would ‘get over it’ and ‘stay together’.

“I in no way intended to break up their marriage, especially when there are small children in the middle,” she added.

 

But now, nearly 20 years later, Loos leads a very different lifestyle with her husband Sven Christjar Skaiaa, 46, than she did in her 20s.

She met Sven while he was working behind the scenes as a doctor on 71 Degrees North in 2008.

The pair married in a small ceremony in 2012 before moving to Hemsedal, Norway to start a new life. The couple now have two sons Magnus and Liam.

The couple’s small village is so remote that it is a three-hour drive from the nearest airport and a two-hour drive to the nearest hospital.

In between long bike rides, Rebecca said of mail Online on how she has embraced inner happiness: “I love my house, keeping it clean, cooking for my boys, packing lunch boxes – this is my territory.”

The former glamor model has reflected on her past lifestyle, admitting she has ‘a lot’ of regrets but doesn’t hide her past from her family, saying her sons ‘know their mother has a bad side’.

She also revealed that she had considered doing a nursing degree after enjoying working on the frontline of COVID-19.

When asked if she regrets her time in the spotlight, Rebecca said: “Oh, a lot! I made a lot of bad decisions, I trusted a lot of people I shouldn’t have trusted.”

Despite her regrets, Rebecca said she does not hide anything from her family and is careful to talk about her life before motherhood with her sons. /Telegraph/
