“Mark Davis Shuts Down Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors, Reinforces Raiders’ Loyalty to Star Defensive End!”. ThuHa.

Despite making a major move by trading one of their core superstars, Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis has firmly dismissed any speculation that the team plans to part ways with star defensive end Maxx Crosby.

On Tuesday, the Raiders sent wide receiver Davante Adams to the New York Jets in exchange for a conditional third-round draft pick, signaling a possible shift in the team’s strategy as they sit at a disappointing 2-4 record. With the NFL trade deadline looming on November 5, many speculated that the Raiders could continue selling off key players, potentially exploring a full rebuild.

If that were the case, Maxx Crosby, one of the league’s top pass rushers, would be an obvious target for contenders looking to bolster their defenses.

However, Davis was quick to shut down any rumors of trading Crosby, addressing the mounting speculation directly.

“It’s unfortunate today, but there’s so much outside chatter that is not true,” Davis told The Athletic’s Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed. “It’s not coming from any sources. It’s not coming from anything. My basic thing is never to answer all that stuff because, otherwise, you get trapped in this black hole. It’s just not happening.”

Davis’ firm stance underscores Crosby’s value to the Raiders. The 27-year-old edge rusher has been a cornerstone of the defense and one of the team’s most consistent performers. He’s fresh off a contract reworking this offseason, which included a $6 million raise following his third consecutive Pro Bowl appearance. Crosby originally signed a four-year, $94 million extension in 2022, keeping him under contract through the 2026 season.

Crosby’s production this year has been stellar, further solidifying his importance to the team. Through five games, he’s recorded 5.5 sacks and 15 pressures, continuing to be a disruptive force for opposing offenses. Since joining the Raiders in 2019, Crosby has accumulated 57.5 career sacks, making him one of the league’s premier pass rushers.

Even amid recent turmoil, including a sideline incident during the Raiders’ 32-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday, Crosby’s commitment to the team remains unwavering. During the game, Crosby was seen shoving assistant coach Mike Caldwell on the sideline, a moment that quickly sparked media attention.

Crosby downplayed the incident, explaining on the Let’s Go! podcast that it was “literally nothing” and that he and Caldwell were simply hyping each other up in the heat of the moment.

While the Raiders have already made a significant roster change with the trade of Adams, Davis’ comments make it clear that Crosby is not part of any potential teardown. The team may be looking for ways to reshape the roster, but their star pass rusher appears to be staying put as they continue their season.

The Raiders are set to take on the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday, and if Davis’ words hold true, Crosby will be on the field, continuing to lead the defense as the team tries to right the ship. As the trade deadline approaches, fans and analysts will be watching closely to see if the Raiders make any additional moves, but for now, it seems Maxx Crosby is safe from any trade discussions.
