A girl hid in the bathroom and called 911 as the rest of her family were slaughtered in a suspected case of family annihilation.
Parents Mark Humiston, 42, and his wife Sarah were reportedly found dead in their $2million mansion along with three of their five children, with one 15-year-old being taken into custody and another 11-year-old girl being treated for injuries at Seattle Hospital after escaping their upscale home in Fall City, a suburb of Seattle.
Their 15-year-old son is suspected of carrying out the horrific act. The teenager’s sister was also targeted in the attack but survived despite being shot twice. She was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after receiving medical aid from a neighbour.

Some of the 911 calls that alerted deputies to the shooting came from victims who were inside the house and hiding in the bathroom, according to KIRO 7.
“They shot the other family members, I believe there is five total, not including the RP (reporting party) who’s hiding in the bathroom,” one dispatcher said during a call, as reported by FOX13.
King County Sheriff spokesperson Mike Mellis described the shooting as a “domestic violence” incident involving a “young man who’s in significant trouble, and involves firearms.”
“Once bodies were discovered, clearly we understand that this is a hugely significant crime scene,” Mellis added. The identities and ages of the child victims have not been disclosed by authorities, but neighbours told FOX13 that they are believed to be teenagers.
Deputies were called to the stunning waterfront property on Lake Alice Road just before 5am on Monday after receiving several 911 calls about a “disturbance with gunfire”. They discovered the lifeless bodies of two parents and their three children, King County Sheriff spokesperson Mike Mellis confirmed.
The teen suspect was immediately arrested by deputies upon arrival at the family home. The couple purchased their approximately $2 million home in 2019.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has revealed that prosecutors have requested the court to charge a teenager with five counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
The 15 year old boy, represented by lawyers Amy Park and Molly Campera, waived his right to be present at his initial court appearance on their advice.
“Regarding probable cause, we have received a 1-page document that outlines the allegations in this case. However, given the limited information we have and the short amount of time to investigate the case prior to this hearing, we are deferring to the court regarding probable cause,” the attorneys stated.
They added: “Finally, regarding release, we want the court to know that our client is a 15-year-old boy who enjoys mountain biking and fishing and has no criminal history.”
“I’m just in total shock,” neighbour Lynne Trowern told KING-TV. “I keep bursting into tears. That is why I have to go to my daughter’s house because I can’t be here on my own. I just keep seeing the faces of the children.”
The family was known for keeping to themselves, yet the children were described as friendly and often helped neighbours with home projects. “So polite. Homeschooled. It’s unfathomable what’s happened,” recalled Cameron, a former neighbour, when speaking of the children.
Currently, the teen is being held at King County Juvenile Detention and has been ordered not to contact any surviving immediate family members, according to prosecutors.
