Cancelled podcast host Tana Mongeau has been slammed by fans for spreading “stupid conspiracies” about Beyoncé.
The 26-year-old appeared on the latest episode of Cancelled alongside her co-host Brooke Schofield. During their chat, Tana spread false rumors about Beyoncé, accusing the singer of instilling “fear” in other celebrities.
Tana said: “I went down the rabbit hole, right, and I actually have some notes, okay? And this is one that you have to do your research on but you need to trust me with the things I’m saying to you right now. Like, I need you to believe everything I’m saying wholeheartedly because it’s true.” Brooke agreed to listen to her co-host.

Tana continued: “If you look back at the history of all award shows ever, every time any celebrity wins an award, Taylor Swift, f—— I just saw a clip of Kelsea Ballerini doing it, there’s a clip of Britney Spears doing it, there’s a clip of, and I mean hundreds of people, Adele every time she wins an award, everyone in their speech, out of nowhere, they are thanking Beyoncé.”
Brooke replied: “I do know that much, but I’ve never thought anything of it because Beyoncé’s the G.O.A.T.” Tana then claimed Britney Spears seemed to be “reading off of a teleprompter” when she thanked Beyoncé.
She continued: “Adele’s done it like five times now. Any time anyone is in an award category next to Beyoncé and they win, you see their fear.”
Tana then repeated a conspiracy theory that Kanye West “has been right about a lot of s— he was saying when everyone was calling him crazy”. She continued: “People are now saying that when Kanye went up there and interrupted Taylor Swift, because he said Beyoncé had one of the greatest albums of all time, that’s what he interrupted her to say, that he was saving her essentially.”

Kanye interrupted Taylor during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when Taylor won the prize for Best Female Video. Kanye stormed the stage and interrupted Taylor to tell her how he believed Beyoncé should have won.
“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you. Imma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time,” he said. Taylor was unable to finish her acceptance speech because of Kanye’s interruption.
However, Beyoncé later invited Taylor on stage with her so she could finish her speech. Fans have now taken to Reddit to share their thoughts on Tana’s conspiracies and it’s safe to say they’re not happy.
In a post titled “The beyonce brainrot discourse”, one Cancelled fan said: “I always knew tana wasn’t the smartest but the fact that she actually believes the beyonce conspiracy theories is wild. Like she really came out and said that kanye saved taylor swift from beyonce, when he had no relationship with taylor, and beyonce was one of his closest friends at the time. makes 0 sense.”
They continued: “Also somehow the celebrities thanking beyonce isnt because theyre inspired by her, no its because theyre scared she might kill them and their family. like HUH???? its fine to not like beyonce but to deny her cultural significance is crazy! Celebrities might be scared to win over her because her fanbase is crazy loyal and will attack them, not because shes some evil omnipotent figure in hollywood. like please it’s 11 year olds on tiktok pushing these conspiracies and tana actually believes them enough to talk about it on the podcast like i actually cant its so dumb.”
One person agreed: “It really makes me question her intelligence. The first thing that made me realize this was when she believed the Sam & Colby stuff last year was real and not pretend.”
Some else added: “Honestly hope tana sees this thread ik its not the nicest but that girl needs a reality check BAD. no ged, no lisence, believing the actual stupidest conspiracies on tiktok like girl. get a mf grip.”
A third fan then pointed out: “The beyoncé conspiracy theories have very racist undertones to them too.. like she is the first and only black woman to achieve that level of success and people think the only explanation for that is if she is literally working with satan.” Tana is yet to respond to the criticism.
