She’s got American politics on the brain.
Rihanna, who isn’t a US citizen, joked about “sneaking into the polls” to vote in the presidential election between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump by using one of her son’s passports.
“POV: me trying to sneak into the polls with my son’s passport #votecauseicant,” the mom of two, who shares sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, wrote atop a video on Instagram of herself dismally looking out of a car window as her curly bob blew in the wind.
“when protecting p—ies and firing p—ies can happen all in one vote #votecauseicant #TanSuitSeason,” she captioned the reel on Monday, seemingly referring to Harris and former president Barack Obama’s highly publicized tan suits.
Fans praised Rihanna, 36, in the comments section of her post for her apparent endorsement of Vice President Harris.
“It’s the caption for me ,” wrote one user.
“Protect the , fire the ,” added another.
“you’re so real for this,” commented a third person.
Other netizens urged the nine-time Grammy winner to apply for dual citizenship so she can vote in future elections.
Although Rihanna, who was born in Barbados, cannot vote in America due to her citizenship status, she has used her platform to urge Americans to hit the polls in past elections.
In 2018, the “We Found Love” singer told her followers to vote in the midterm election.
“It’s ELECTION DAY America!!! The most important day for the rest of your lives…all you have is right now! TODAY!!” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
“If you’re tired of complaining about the state of the country and government, get up and do something about it!!! #VOTE … simple!!! You have no excuse, and If you live in any of these states it’s not too late to register today!! C’mon man, LETS GO!!!!! .”
