Sean “Diddy” Combs still has an active Instagram account even though he’s in jail.
The disgraced music mogul is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York as he awaits his trial next year for various charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. Diddy has pled not guilty in court and denied any wrongdoings.
Diddy’s seven children are still supportive of his father, even recently calling him to wish him a happy birthday. One of his oldest sons, Christian Combs, has been vocal about his love and support for his father.
Christian posted a video on his father’s Instagram page on Wednesday. The video had Christian himself addressing the camera.
“What’s up y’all I’m King Combs,” he said, using his nickname, “And right now I’m taking over my pop’s Instagram.”
He explained: “We’re going to be posting videos, spreading good energy, and taking y’all down memory lane. All the positive things he did. So stay tuned and watch this, let’s go.”
The video ended with Christian wishing Diddy a happy birthday, which was earlier in the week. He then went on to post the music video for Diddy’s song All About The Benjamins.
“My Pops motivation to making music is always to make us dance and feel good,” he captioned the video. Instagram users took to the comment section to slam Christian for posting this the day after the US election.
“Today is not the day little boy go sit down,” one fan wrote. Another chimed in: “Kamala just lost not right now.”
A third proclaimed: “Leaving the comment section open is wild.” One user defended Christian, writing: “He is not responsible for what his dad did tho, he still gonna love his dad.”
Earlier this week, Christian’s older brother Quincy shared a video of six of the seven Combs children singing happy birthday to their father on the phone. After they sang, Diddy spoke to his children.
“I can’t wait to see y’all. I just want to say I’m proud of y’all, especially the girls. I mean, all of y’all, just for being strong,” he told them, “Thank y’all for being strong and thank y’all for being by my side and supporting me. I love y’all. I got the best family in the world. My birthday. I’m happy. Thank y’all for giving me this call. I love y’all.”
