Jennifer Lopez is looking forward to spending time with her family this Christmas – the first after her divorce from Ben Affleck.
The On The Floor singer filed for divorce from the Argo actor in August, two years after they tied the knot in Las Vegas, Nevada. They dated previously in the early 2000s and broke up days before their wedding and rekindled their romance in 2021.
Ben and Jennifer were rumored to have had relationship issues since the beginning of this year, which might have led Jennifer to say that the past year was “a pretty intense” one. The star is looking forward to the holiday season and spending time with her mother Guadalupe Rodriguez, sisters Lynda and Leslie Lopez, and 16-year-old twin children Max and Emme.
“Im most looking forward to spending time with my kids and my family coming out from the East Coast, Jennifer said to People Magazine, “The holidays are such a special time for us and theyve always been since I was a little girl.
She added: And I really look forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories.
“We dont get to see each other all year, she continued, “So we kind of catch up on what everybodys doing and how life is. Its just a beautiful time. I really enjoy it.”
The star gushed about her love of the holiday season. “I love all of the decorations and the hot chocolate and the music and the food, and Im one of those people who really tries to make it out of a storybook for my kids with all of those things,” she said, “Im a sucker for the holidays.
Jennifer is also looking forward to the new year ahead. She said the upcoming year is about a deeper connection to myself and to God, making sure were checking with ourselves so we can be great for everybody that we love around us.”
Im also setting my sights on pushing my boundaries creatively and seeing where that takes me, whether thats through acting or music or producing or expanding JLo Beauty, she added, I want to continue challenging myself to evolve and to try new things while all the while being true to who I am and those that I love.
