General Hospital fans urge producers that “there is still time to end this madness” as they beg the soap to bring back beloved actress Kelly Monaco.
Last week, General Hospital fans were heartbroken as Kelly’s long-time character Sam McCall was killed off the soap after starring on the show for over two decades. On Wednesday, October 30, Kelly met her untimely end after suffering from cardiac arrest following a liver transplant. Sam heroically donated a piece of her liver to Lulu Spencer in an attempt to save her life, but unfortunately died in process.
And it seems Kelly is now gone for good, General Hospital fans are begging producers to find a way to resurrect the fan favorite character. In their fury, many viewers have also made petitions calling for executive producer Frank Valentini to be fired after many theorized that Kelly was axed from the show due to behind-the-scenes drama. The petition that was launched on October 9 has gone on to receive support from many fans and has already received 538 signatures and counting.

And while life is continuing on in Port Charles without Sam, fans have not wavered in their calls to bring her back. On X, formerly Twitter, one dedicated fan wrote: “You robbed Jasam fans. Make it right there is still time to end this madness. We will take the fake death and just say that Sam was kidnapped and Jason and Spinelli to the rescue and we will be good on all fronts. Let’s make that happen now that would be a great story to watch.”
In a message to Frank another chimed in: “After 45+ years, Im not watching GH as long as you are EP.” And another in agreement posted: “Hey @ABCNetwork @ABC_Publicity @nathanvarni @craigerwich @WaltDisneyCo have you looked into the very unpopular decision of @valentinifrank to fire the talented, wildly popular @kellymonaco1? Complete disregard for viewer opinion is a grievous error. #firefrank.” While a fourth echoed: “It’s time for Frank to go @ABCNetwork @DisneyStudios he is destroying #GH a once number 1 soap. He doesn’t value loyal soap vets or the audience.”
