Three Louisiana residents were arrested on Tuesday after they allegedly tried to steal a haul of Stanley Cups. According to police, the trio tried to lift several of the in-demand insulated cups from the Acadmey in Juban Crossing on Tuesday.

Sheriff Jason Ard told CBS affiliate WAFB that one of the three suspects fled the sporting goods store and hopped in a Mercury Grand Marquis while another suspect left the store with more merchandise and attempted to hop into the same vehicle. According to Ard, the vehicle was approached by a detective who asked the suspects to stop.

Ard told the outlet the detective told the man who was driving to stop, however, he did not and proceeded to assault the detective while accelerating out of the parking lot, leaving the one female behind.
