The Hawaiian woman who vanished during a layover in Los Angeles, Hannah Kobayashi, appeared unwell in a recent video clip that her family was reportedly shown by police tracking her down.

After she failed to catch her connecting flight from Los Angeles to New York, her family sparked an alarm, triggering a bi-coastal investigation. According to KTLA-TV, a CW affiliate, Hannah’s family claims they’ve seen new footage in which she appears unwell.

She was near the Pico Metro Station in downtown Los Angeles, about 20 miles from the airport. Her family believes she was with another person when she mysteriously went off the grid.

On November 8, Hannah, 31, left Maui, Hawaii, and was seen on surveillance footage at Los Angeles airport. She missed her overnight flight to JFK Airport in New York, scheduled to land on November 9.

Hannah was originally spotted at a LeBron James event in Los Angeles. She also sent a series of puzzling texts that raised alarm among her family members.

The circumstances surrounding Hannah’s disappearance are mysterious, especially since she had prepared an itinerary for her trip to New York. According to her plan, she intended to check into her hotel in the morning after landing at JFK, followed by potential afternoon activities.

The day she was expected to arrive coincided with the Brooklyn Folk Festival, where Honey Dijon was performing at the Brooklyn Storehouse. On November 10, Hannah had plans to tick off activities from her bucket list.

The following day, she was scheduled to spend time with her aunt, Geordan Montalvo. Her aunt relayed to Kobayashi’s mother, Brandi Yee, that they were supposed to attend a show together. When Kobayashi failed to appear, it rang alarm bells.

Subsequently, Kobayashi’s mother and sister discovered Hannah had sent a text message to her friend from Los Angeles airport expressing her fear. The message from Hannah’s phone read: “Im charging my phone and heading back to the airport to get to NYC.”

“She was at LAX and said she was scared,” Yee shared with CBS and NBC affiliate Hawaii News Now. Sydni Kobayashi, Kobayashi’s sister, admitted that the messages made her uneasy. “She texted her that she was scared and that she couldnt come back home or something. It was just really weird texts,” Sydni stated. “Its weird to me because it doesnt sound like her, like theres just something off about it,” she added.

“So I wasnt too sure. I dont know if its her or if someone else was texting. ” A screenshot of the conversation shows Kobayashi telling her friend, “I got tricked pretty much into giving away all of my funds. For someone I thought I loved.”

According to a missing person poster distributed by Kobayashi’s family in November. On November 10, she sent texts expressing fear that someone was trying to steal her identity and money. Kobayashi, a frequent traveler, was thrilled about the trip, which involved a photography job and a performance.

“Bucket list dreams become a reality,” she penned on her handwritten itinerary, captured in a photograph. On Friday, Kobayashi had a just 42 minutes to catch her flight. When her mother didn’t hear from her, she began to worry that she might miss her journey.

Hannah’s ex-boyfriend was also on the same trip from Maui to LAX, according to her relatives. However, although the ex-couple purchased tickets prior to their breakup, they did not sit together or talk during the flight. Ryan Kobayashi, her father, informed the publication that her ex-partner had arrived in New York after boarding the connecting aircraft.

Additionally, he guaranteed that her ex-boyfriend has been very helpful and receptive throughout the investigation. “A lot of worrying, a lot of confusion. Everything is just a blur it seems because I haven’t slept well since I’ve heard the news, and I really don’t know  it’s just really concerning. We’re just trying to get us as much information as we can,” he said.

According to the latest location pinned by her phone, Kobayashi was at LAX on Monday. On Monday, she also posted something on her Instagram account that appeared to be a sign from the Nike pop-up event. Her family says she hasn’t used her phone since then. Hannahs family filed a missing persons report on November 13, pleading for information.

Her father, Ryan, has said hes barely slept and told local media: “Theres a lot of people looking for you, Hannah. “So, if you get this, if you see anything, just go to the police, go to anybody. Theres a lot of people out there that care and love you, Hannah.”
