It’s no secret that 50 Cent has been feuding with Sean “Diddy” Combs for years.

However, it seems that their beef might to be one-sided, at least that’s how the Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems rapper is painting it. Recently a clip resurfaced of Diddy addressing 50 Cent’s dislike for him in a radio interview way before he was arrested on sex trafficking and racketeering charges in Manhattan, New York, last week. The music mogul admitted that he strongly desired to be buddies with the fellow rap superstar.

“Me and him could be friends, but he doesn’t want to be my friend,” Diddy said about the In Da Club rhymer in the interview.

“I wanna be his friend so I could teach him everything I know so he could become a better money-getter since I’m the number one money-getter in the world,” Diddy explained. He then went on to beg 50 Cent to befriend him.

“Yo, 50 please be my friend,” he said. “50 you’re breaking my heart. Curtis, please be my friend. Please.” Amid all of Diddy’s scandals, 50 Cent, legally named Curtis James Jackson III, recently confirmed that he intends to move forward with the docu-film he’s producing that will scrutinize Diddy’s past.

50 Cent’s production will focus on several legal challenges directed at Diddy, including the rape and sexual assault allegations. Reports indicate that any profits made from this documentary will be donated to aid victims of sexual crimes.

The Power franchise creator noted that he was the best person to take on the documentary since he has extensive experience in television production.

“I’m the only person in hip-hop culture that has produced any hit television. Why wouldn’t I be the person to produce it?” 50 cent told Us Weekly. “And I’m not on the tapes. See, some of the people who have been around in the culture who are not saying anything—that’s because they’ve been to the parties… They don’t know what part of their experiences are on tape.”

He added: “So it keeps them quiet. And it looks like I’m the only guy, but I’ve been [saying] for years that something’s not right.”

Being that 50 Cent also personally doesn’t like Diddy, it makes producing a documentary covering his allegations that much easier since there’s no friendship loyalty aspect to overcome. 50 Cent’s beef with Diddy dates back over almost a decade.

In 2006, 50 Cent dropped a diss track named The Bomb, which seemingly – without any proof – implied that Diddy knew the identity of The Notorious B. I. G. ‘s killer from back in March 1997. This sparked a feud between the two.

Fast forward to 2010, Diddy labeled 50 Cent as a “hating a- – crap” after he took on the role of Rick Ross’s manager in 2009. The feud escalated further last year when 50 Cent got involved in a lawsuit filed by Diddy’s ex-partner Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura in November 2023, accusing Diddy of rape, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
