The New England Patriots have been playing some uninspiring football in 2024, and their 34-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium continued that theme.
With just a few more games left to go in a grueling season, most Patriots fans have already turned their attention to 2025, as the team has plenty of money to address some of their biggest needs before Week 1.
On top of that, their first-round pick should be high enough that they can grab an impact player from the college game or trade back and grab multiple.
After falling to the Dolphins this week, New England is now projected to have the fourth-overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. The only teams ahead of them are the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders.
The Patriots still have to face the Indianapolis Colts (5-7), Arizona Cardinals (6-5), Los Angeles Chargers (7-3) and Buffalo Bills (9-2) twice this season, and with the way Jerod Mayos team is currently playing, theres a chance that they lose all of those games.
With the teams ahead of them in the draft order all ahead by just percentage points, New England could finish with a top-three pick again this year.
