Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter from behind bars to his former protégé Shyne Barrow over the new explosive Hulu documentary ‘The Honorable Shyne.’
According to reports by Page Six, a source claimed that Diddy sent the letter in an effort to “ensure” that everything included in the new film was factually true. This comes as Shyne, aka Moses Michael Levi Barrow, alleged that he took the fall for Diddy over the infamous Manhattan shooting case in 1999.
In the case 25 years ago, Shyne was convicted of first-degree assault for his involvement in a New York City nightclub shooting that left three people injured. And although Diddy was also accused of shooting, he was acquitted of all charges after he said he shot the gun in self-defense.

Shyne, who at the time, was a rising rapper, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2001. Since emerging, Shyne has taken on a new career path and is now the the Leader of the Opposition in the Belize House of Representatives. And now, over two decades later, Shyne is telling his side of the story.
In the bombshell documentary, Shyne claimed that he was “absolutely set up to be the fall guy for the disgraced media mogul and that he is grateful that the rapper’s ways are now “coming to light.” In the film, the rapper-turned-politician said: “Because when I said it [at the time], everyone was partying and having a great time with Diddy while I was left to rot in prison.”
In response to this claim, P Diddy’s representatives told Page Six: “Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrows allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to take the fall or sacrificed him by directing witnesses to testify against him. These claims are unequivocally false.”
They continued: “Mr. Combs was acquitted of all charges related to the [1999 incident] and has consistently maintained his innocence, and, Mr. Combs appreciates the path Mr. Barrow has pursued and wishes him continued success. It is unfortunate that Mr. Barrow has chosen to revisit these allegations.
This comes as Diddy is currently housed at the Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center in New York as he awaits his criminal trial in May of 2025. The rapper is currently facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pled not guilty to the charges and has denied the allegations.
