The Bachelor star Cassie Randolph has revealed some huge news to her fans – she is engaged.
The 29-year-old TV star opened up about how her fiancé, Brighton Reinhardt, popped the question at one of her favorite locations as she gushed about the big move in their romance. Cassie described how she was at Newport Beach in California when she and her family went for a walk before dinner.
The group were strolling along the Newport Coast which has several stunning beachfront cottages to pass by. As she reached the final cottage, which sits nestled against some striking cliffs, Brighton, 27, was waiting for her.
It was then he dropped down on one knee and produced a stunning 5.04 carat elongated cushion cut diamond ring to ask her if she wanted to become his wife. Recalling the big moment Cassie said: When Brighton dropped to a knee and asked, Will you marry me? as he opened the box, my reaction was immediately, Oh my gosh, yes!
Talking to PEOPLE, Cassie admitted that she was clueless about the proposal and “had no idea” what Brighton was planning and was completely caught off guard.
Cassie – who works as a speech-language pathologist – was lucky enough to have her close friend Krissy there to capture the proposal on camera taking a string of gorgeous photos at sunset posed aling the shore and showing off her very lavish brand-new bespoke sparkler.
The pictures captured the surprise element perfectly as Cassie was dressed very causally in jeans and a white top. Joking about her lack of preparation she said: The only thing I would have changed is, I wish I did my hair! before noting that the rest of the evening after the surprise could not have been more perfect and special.
Brighton’s family were also present for the secret proposal and after Cassie said yes they came out of hiding a few yards away to congratulate the pair. Both of the families then celebrated the romantic moment with an amazing dinner at a nearby restaurant called A Crystal Cove.
Cassie and Brighton first met around eight years ago and became friends for about five years before they began dating in 2020. Cassie of course found fame when she competed on Season 23 of The Bachelor hoping to win Colton Underwood’s heart.
The show aired from January to March 2019. However, by May 2020 the couople went their separate ways confirming they had split, with Cassie later going on to accuse the former football player, 32, of allegedly stalking her.
Colton has since come out as gay and married husband Jordan C. Brown with whom he welcomed a baby boy via surrogate. Colton eventually issued a public apology to Cassie for how things ended.
