“Ohio Sheriff’s Facebook Account Restored After Asking Residents to Track Harris Supporters’ Addresses—The Controversy Continues!.Vuong.”

An Ohio sheriff was suspended from Facebook and barred from election security after a post urging people to ‘write down’ local Democrats’ addresses while insulting Kamala Harris

An Ohio sheriff had his Facebook account suspended, then restored, after making a controversial post that encouraged residents of Portrage County to ‘write down all the addresses of the people who had [Kamala] signs in their yards.’

He then suggested that all the migrants, whom he called ‘locusts,’ be sent to those homes. According to Randi Clites, chair of the Portage County Board of Election, Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski’s post was interpreted as’ intimidation.’

Zuchowski’s wife took to the social media site to complain about her husband’s account being taken down. It’s unclear if his posts violated any of Facebook’s ‘terms of service,’ but the account has since been restored – though the original controversial post has since been scrubbed.

Bruce Zuchowski’s Facebook posts focused on immigration and followed the clearcut message touted by former president Donald Trump.

Zuchowsi wrote on September 13: “When people ask me … What’s gonna happen if the Flip–Flopping, Laughing Hyena Wins?? I say … write down all the addresses of the people who had her signs in their yards! Sooo … when the Illegal human “Locust” (which she supports!) Need places to live … We’ll already have the addresses of … their New families … who supported their arrival!”

Zuchowski is a veteran law enforcement agent who has worked for 30 years and was elected as the county’s first Republican sheriff in a decade in 2020. He spent twenty six years with the Ohio State Patrol (14 years as Assistant Post Commander) and two and a half years as a part-time and special deputy in the Portage County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Portage Sheriff dept.

Fox News invited Zuchowki to defend his position last week, where he assured the public: “I’m not going to do anything illegal as the sheriff. After all reasonable things have been taken care of as far as what we can do with the people, I simply made a comment to some people on my personal Facebook page that we need to remember where these signs were because when there’s nowhere else to put these people, I look at it as a welcome mat for people who supported her…”

However, his comments didn’t do much to smooth over community relations. In response, on September 24, the elections board barred the sheriff’s office from providing election security entirely, opting to hire private security.

Despite the backlash, Zuchowski said he’s found plenty of support in the community and thanked individuals on his Facebook page for their allegiance. “As the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of Portage County, I have sworn to protect ALL citizens of my County. Recently, I placed a post on my personal Facebook page that may have been a little misinterpreted.” wrote Zuchowki on September 17, days after the original post went viral.

He continued: “I…as the elected sheriff, do have a first amendment right as do all citizens. If the citizens of Portage County want to elect an individual who has supported open borders (which I’ve personally visited Twice!) and neglected to enforce the laws of our Country…then that is their prerogative. With elections, there are consequences. That being said…I believe that those who vote for individuals with liberal policies have to accept responsibility for their actions! I am a Law Man…Not a Politician!”
