Wolves Movie Ending Explained: What’s the Twist in Brad Pitt and George Clooney’s New Comedy?.Phuong

The highly-anticipated film Wolfs has landed on Apple TV+, reuniting Hollywood heavyweights Brad Pitt and George Clooney in a crime-comedy that promises to deliver laughs and thrills.

Directed by Jon Watts, the movie brings together the A-list duo in a new action-comedy, following their previous success in the genre with the hit film Ocean’s Eleven and its sequels.

In Wolfs, Pitt and Clooney play two “fixers,” who are forced to put aside their differences and work together to clean up a mess. But what’s the movie about, and who else is in the cast?

The film follows the story of the fixers Nick and Jack, who are brought in to help cover up a potentially deadly accident involving a New York D. A, reports the Mirror.

As the two lone wolves navigate their way through a series of disastrous events, they must put aside their animosity towards each other and work together to get the job done. But things take a turn for the worse when a young boy, known as “the Kid” (Austin Abrams), wakes up and runs away after being mistaken for dead.

The evening takes a chaotic turn when the fixers discover a significant heroin transaction involving various criminal factions is in motion, and they each try to remain incognito due to their previous connections with these gangs.

The film’s conclusion reveals that originally, Jack and Nick thought it was mere coincidence that they were both hired for the same task, but it quickly becomes apparent they were deliberately set up.

At the movie’s end, after eluding death during an intense shootout among rival gangs, the duo opts to visit a diner for some breakfast.

They regret not realizing sooner that a tracking device had been slipped into the drugs concealed in the kid’s backpack they came across earlier on.

The fixers agree that as long as “the kid stays quiet,” it won’t matter who orchestrated the elaborate drug deal from the shadows.

But the plot thickens when Jack inquires of Nick: “So what did she (the voice of hotel owner Pamela Dowd-Henry, played by Frances McDormand) tell you to get you to work with me? What did she say? Did she have a whole leverage?”

“She said I didn’t have a choice,” is Nick’s solemn admission, prompting a simple acknowledgment from Jack: “All right.” Nick then muses: “You take a job, you give your word, and that word’s the measure of the man.”

Hearing this, Jack halts at the exit, a wave of concern washing over him upon recognizing the significance of the phrase.

The pair both start questioning who contacted whom, leading Jack to a moment of insight. He exclaims: “In the car to June’s, who called you? It was your guy. The guy that Pam got your number from. Your guy.”

Nick answers with a dawning understanding, “So she must have called him,” which leads Jack to wonder: “But then why call me?”

Nick begins to speculate further. “But who called.?” However, he stops as he grasps the gravity of the situation. He mutters incredulously: “You’re saying the D.A. got your number… No!”

Agreeing, Jack affirms: “Yeah,” and Nick concludes, “We have the same guy.” Still puzzled, Jack asks: “But why does he care?” He mulls over the fact it was just meant to be a clean-up job.

Together, they come to realize the unknown contact had another plan in mind once he found out about the drugs.

Nick theorizes: “Kid’s dead, he can’t make the drop, so he calls us.” Jack then adds: “One at a time, but nobody answers.”

Piecing it together, Nick realizes, “So he sent someone else,” as they conclude their contact wanted them to walk into the drug hand-off. They figure out that the intention was for them to be framed.

The realization hits them both. “We were getting cleaned,” they declare together as they face the prospect of yet another shoot-out, realizing their setup.

As the movie draws to a close, whether the fixers survive remains uncertain. However, they vow to finally share their names if they manage to escape death again.
