Adele revealed that she has been left “partially deaf” after contracting a “rare water bacteria” that is “very hard to treat”.
The 36-year-old singer opened up about her health scare during her residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and described the pain as “worse than childbirth”.
She said: “I have an ear infection, which is pretty grim. I’ve never had one before. It’s the most painful thing that’s ever, ever happened to me. It was worse than childbirth. It’s a rare water bacteria. It’s very hard to treat.

“I was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days and they managed to give me one that started to work.”
According to The Sun, Adele added: “I wanted to chop my ear off a few times. I’m no longer in pain, which is great but I’m a bit deaf in my left ear.”
The Easy On Me singer shared her plans to become an “emergency foster cat mum” once her 100-date residency ends next month. The star, who is engaged to sports agent Rich Paul, 43, even mentioned that she is building a cattery at their home unbeknownst to Rich.
“I’m absolutely going to become an emergency foster cat mum once I move into my new house,” she shared with her fans during a recent concert. “I’ve created a room that my fiance doesn’t even know exists and I’m going to have loads of crates built into the wall with all the supplies. He’ll never know about it… but now he might because I’ve said it on stage. I would happily do it full-time.”, reports the Mirror.
Adele, who is a mother to 12 year old son Angelo, has already welcomed a few rescue cats into her home including one named Fella Hadid, inspired by model Bella Hadid. The ‘Hello’ singer has previously mentioned that she plans to take an “incredibly long” break after her Las Vegas shows conclude.

Her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace kicked off in November 2022. During a summer performance in Munich, she expressed: “I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now.”
Sharing more about her future plans during her time off, she revealed during her Friday night concert: “I’m definitely going to do a culinary course. I’m actually a very good cook I’m just not very good with my presentation. I don’t want to learn a language. All I talk to is my dogs and my animals anyway.”
When a fan asked if she’d start planning her wedding to Rich, Adele responded: “Honey, I’m building a house. I can’t multitask at that level. I don’t know when we’re getting married – none of your f****** business.”
