The video posted to TikTok prompted a heated debate in the comments with one side saying the supposed thief intended to give it back while the other claims she was caught red-handed
A woman was captured on video shamelessly swiping an unattended Apple Iphone charger on a plane, prompting the rightful owner to confront her in a heated exchange.
In a video the man recorded himself, he’s seen approaching the woman to ask whether she was the one who took it, to which she admits she did. He questions why she just took the charger, which seems to set her off. “Chill the **** out,” she snaps, explaining she took it because “nobody was on the flight.”
Seemingly annoyed, he scolds her for the inconsiderate deed, saying “you can’t take things without asking. It doesn’t make sense.” The commotion attracts the attention of other passengers like one woman who told the man to take a seat before he gets thrown off the flight.
Another chimes in saying: “You’re being ridiculous. She said she was gonna give it back.” The man, who didn’t take a seat, snaps back saying, “No, you’re being ridiculous. She stole something without asking.” The charger thief reaches into her bag and hands the man his charger. He ridicules her further, arguing she returned it only because he confronted her and “everyone else saw you,” he said.
Throughout the video of the encounter, which was posted to TikTok, the woman seems annoyed that the owner of the device demanded it back. Commenters largely took the man’s side, accusing the passenger of “gaslighting” him into submission. One said “the evidence is in her bag, and she’s gaslighting him.”
“Nah she’s trying to act like it’s not a big deal because she’s on the wrong side of the argument,” said another citing her nonchalant attitude. The charger being placed in her bag, which was zipped closed, led many to believe the woman intended to steal it. “She has it zipped up inside her bag. She wasn’t planning on giving it back,” another said.

The man made a second video, explaining the full context of the first upload. He says tensions were high as he and his wife were on a flight that was delayed three times, which was so long that they were allowed to step off the flight for some time because workers were unsure about how long they would be.
He said he left his charger on the plane and was approached by a woman who was seated across from him a few minutes later. She warned that another passenger swiped his charger and put it in her bag. “[They] said, ‘Hey listen just wanted to let you know I’m sitting across from you to your left, and there’s a girl that got off your flight that actually stopped at your seat, unplugged your charger, rolled it up and put it in her bag,'” he said.
He rebukes commenters who said the woman planned to give it back, arguing she could’ve gone to the flight attendant to report a lost item instead of stashing it in her belongings. He also denounces her unapologetic attitude during the entire situation.
“Doesn’t matter if you’re on my side or against me. This is what happened, this is the truth,” he said.
