Prjsonce Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are set to welcome their second child together in a matter of weeks, who will have an unusual title when they are born
Excitement buzzes through the Royal corridors as Princess Beatrice announces she’s expecting another bundle of joy with her hubby, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The couple are already doting parents to their three-year-old darling, Sienna, and are also raising Edoardo’s son from a previous relationship, eight year old Christopher, sweetly nicknamed Wolfie. As the seasons change, little Sienna is set to become a big sister in the early Spring, joining the tiny tot brigade with her cousins August and Ernest, proud offspring of Princess Eugenie and her spouse Jack Brooksbank.
This growing brood is certainly stirring things up within the Royal succession scene.
Sienna holds the unique honor of carrying a title within the young clan, addressed as a countess or “nobile donna” – all thanks to her dad Edoardo, who at 40, celebrates his heritage as an Italian count. Hence, the upcoming newborn is also predestined to inherit the noble count or countess moniker.

Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, Edoardo’s father, had previously shared with the Daily Mail during a heart-to-heart before his son’s nuptials on July 17, 2020, emphasizing that “Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation. He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.”
Despite Beatrice and Eugenie’s Royal lineage, their little ones aren’t in line for British Royal titles since they’re not the reigning monarch’s grandkids King Charles stands as their grand uncle. Not withstanding, in a heartwarming episode of Fergie’s Tea Talks podcast last year, the children’s grandmother, the Duchess herself, expressed overwhelming delight and pride in her grandbabies.
She gushed about her quality time with little Sienna, revealing that while Beatrice was away in Jordan for the nuptials of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa last June, she cherished her role as a doting grandmother. She shared: “I’ve managed to really have a bond with Sienna and guess what my bond is? I give her a little sip of my tea out of my tea cup …. I put some cold water with it.”
In an emotional revelation, Fergie confessed that tears flowed when Eugenie informed her that her new grandson would carry a name honoring the duchess’s father. Eugenie and hubby Jack Brooksbank introduced Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank to the world on May 30 last year, keeping the birth under wraps for a week.
The tribute to Sarah’s father, Major Ronald Ferguson, who passed away in 2003, is reflected in the middle name Ronnie. Speaking out for the first time about her grandchild, Sarah expressed how Ernest is a “seriously beautiful little boy” and admitted that the homage in his name brought her to tears.
Reflecting on the moment, she said: “When Jack and Eugenie told me, it was so moving that they had put my dad in there. It was so kind, I thought. It made me cry.”
Last year, Fergie faced a breast cancer diagnosis, and later, Beatrice, aged 36, opened up about her mother’s battle with the illness during an appearance on This Morning. She remarked on her mother’s resilience, saying: “She’s been through so much but I think really now she’s sort of coming into her own,” acknowledging her mother’s strength and recovery.
