Ashton Kutcher went out shopping with his wife after an interview he did in 2019 resurfaced about Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The former Punk’d host has come under fire regarding his friendship with the disgraced music mogul. Diddy is currently residing in the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York while he awaits trial for charges ranging from sex trafficking to racketeering though he has pled not guilty and denied any wrongdoings brought against him.
Ashton was spotted recently with Mila Kunis, in Studio City, California leaving the Paper Source store. The 46-year-old wore dark blue jeans and a dark blue baseball cap with the letter I written in yellow on it.
What stuck out though on Ashton was his grey pullover sweater that was merch from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. The star’s name and the name of the tour was on the center of the sweater.
In his hand, Ashton held a purple book that appeared to be about Viking folk tales. Mila wore black baggy pants and a black and white striped long-sleeved shirt.
An interview that Ashton did with Sean Evans on the hit web series Hot Ones resurfaced after Diddy’s arrest in September. In the interview, Sean asked the That 70s Show actor about attending Diddy’s infamous White Parties.
The music producer would throw these parties at his home in the Hamptons in the late 90s and early 2000s. Many celebrities attended these parties like Leonardo DiCaprio and, of course, Ashton himself.
Sean asked Ashton to tell an anecdote from one of the parties. “Wow. Okay, Ive got a lot I cant tell,” he said, pausing and laughing before adding: “I cant tell that one either.”
He didn’t disclose any details but said the question made him start “cycling” through memories from the parties. “Diddy party stories man, that was some weird memory lane thing,” he said.
Some on social media said that they think Ashton was uncomfortable during the interview. Others brought up that Ashton founded an anti-sex trafficking foundation in 2009.
Ashton had to step down from the organization after he got slammed online for his support for Danny Masterson, his longtime friend and That 70s Show co-star. In September 2023, Danny was sentenced to 30 years for two counts of forcible rape. Ashton and his wife Mila wrote a letter of support to the judge before Danny’s sentencing urging him to give his friend a light sentence.
While Ashton has not addressed the Diddy controversy, a source close to him has said the actor is “seriously concerned” over them.
“Ashton is seriously concerned about getting dragged into his ugly mess,” a source told In Touch. “People are outraged, and they want answers.”
