Former Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day has been vocal about how she felt about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and shared what her publishing rights contract really said
Sean “Diddy” Combs was celebrated when he announced he would be giving his artists back their music rights, but Aubrey O’Day is ready to set the record straight.
Last September, Diddy announced that he was going to give every artist on his Bad Boy Records label back their publishing rights to their music catalog. The now-disgraced mogul was seen in a different light a year later when he was arrested on charges including racketeering and sex trafficking. Diddy has denied all claims and pled not guilty.
Danity Kane’s Aubrey wanted to clear things up about being given publishing rights while appearing in the TV documentary TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy. “I received the publishing deal I know what it says I know how much money it was giving me,” she said.
She shared with the documentary that the deal gave her $300.30 “for a full release of all claims against Diddy and many other players.” Aubrey added that she could “never can disparage Diddy on any social media site, on any podcast, on any format.” Diddy’s team has not commented yet on the contents of the contract.

“Once you sign it, in fact, it said you can never mention the existence of this contract ever again,” she continued.
She was asked about why she thought that clause was included in the contract. Aubrey answered: “I think you would be making moves to keep as many people quiet as possible.”
“It asked me to not be able to have access to my story and my experience anymore,” she continued, “It asked me specifically to stay silent and never speak poorly about a human. So then I realized something really bad is coming because this isn’t a man that was reformed.”
Even before seeing the contract, Aubrey believed that Diddy wasn’t a good guy. “I knew all of that was going on,” she said about the nefarious things Diddy was accused of, “I’ve known the whole time…a whole lot of people do.”
She wanted to let people know that “Diddy was not a safe human and that you should be careful if you’re planning on entering any type of relationship with him from business to personal.”
