After Ben Affleck’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez, he spent Thanksgiving with his ex, Jennifer Garner.
The pair are notably amicable with Ben often being seen at her side, especially as they navigating co-parenting their children. For the holiday, the former couple were spotted at a charity event to help feed 2,000 homeless and near-homeless people through Los Angeles’ Midnight Mission.
Ben and Jen were spotted with smiles across their faces as they helped serve meals. Ben appeared with his shaven, buzzed head and scruffy facial hair. He wore a dark longsleeved shirt while Jen wore a deep blue sweater. She wore her hair back in a clip, keeping it cool and casual for the outing. In a sweet gesture, the pair wore matching aprons which said, “I love the Midnight Mission.”

They brought their children with them for the community service. Ben and Jen share three children together, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
As for Ben’s most recent ex-wife, J.Lo, she was spotted out with friends just ahead of Thanksgiving. She grabbed lunch wearing a sleek white button-up with a pair of stylish high-waisted blue jeans. Jennifer wore her hair down and popped on a pair of sunglasses.
Ben and J.Lo are in the midst of a rocky split. J.Lo filed for divorce on Aug. 20 and listed the date of separation as April 26 of that year on the official documents. Earlier in the year, rumors rumbled about the divide before it was made public, especially when Ben moved out of the family home.
A source told People, “This has been one of the hardest years for Jennifer,” adding: “She didn’t want to file for divorce. She just had no choice. Nothing was going to change with Ben.”
Now, she’s taking a step back from dating, according to an insider. They told Life & Style: She decided to do some introspection she says four divorces will do that. Get ready for an all new J. Lo she wants to start a new chapter … She’s determined to turn all this heartbreak into her superpower, to take ownership of any self-destruction and make changes.”
Ben made an attempt to stay amicable with J.Lo. After they put together a new project, Unstoppable, he couldn’t avoid chatting about his ex. He explained that the cast was incredibly “passionate” about the film, telling Entertainment Tonight, Unstoppable is a very different movie than this, but in a way its similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists. Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jharrel [Jerome], and Bobby Cannavale, all were really passionate about this film.”
