Ben Affleck is set to celebrate his first Thanksgiving since his divorce from Jennifer Lopez by making it all about his family.

The Hollywood star is currently working with longtime friend Matt Damon on new Netflix crime thriller RIP but will be taking a break from his busy filming schedule to spend some time with his children according to sources. Ben, 52, shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner – Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 11.

Garner and the children live in the popular celebrity neighborhood of Brentwood, Los Angeles, meaning it’s easy for him to pop and see them as he is filming close by. It remains to be seen however how Lopez will be spending her Thanksgiving.

A source told People: “He’s very happy with life. He enjoys working. Hell spend Thanksgiving with his kids.” Ben was seen filming alongside Matt wearing a tight gray t-shirt and jeans with a police badge as they chatted with Matt dressed in a police jacket. They were filming outside a house with other cast and crew members surrounding them.

RIP tells the story of a group of Miami cops who discover a stash of millions of dollars as loyalty and trust come into question from all around them. Lopez filed for divorce on what would have been the couple’s second wedding anniversary.

She filed pro per, which means she filed by herself and without an attorney. Jennifer cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce. Months after their divorce filing, Ben and Jennifer were seen out with their kids, from separate marriages, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills.

They all rode in the same car, with Jennifer sitting in the front seat. The actress and singer shares twins, Emme and Max, with ex-husband and salsa icon Marc Anthony and Ben shares Violet Anne, Seraphina Rose and Samuel with his ex-wife and actress, Jennifer Garner. Jennifer and Ben were then spotted at their children’s school.

Before the two went their own ways, Jennifer and Ben were working on a film together, Unstoppable. He recently praised Jennifer and the rest of the cast for their work and said Jennifer was “spectacular.”

He said: “Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jharrel [Jerome], and Bobby Cannavale, all were really passionate about this film. Jennifer is spectacular.” When she attended the London premiere, Ben was nowhere in sight but she was asked about her ex. In a video, which quickly went viral, a reporter from Entertainment Tonight asked the actress how she felt about her ex-partners producing in the film and working by his side.

Jennifer smiled before she answered that she enjoyed working with “all of the cast and everybody behind the scenes.”
