She seemed naturally adept at holding water within her trunk while her offspring keenly observed the entire process, taking in their mother’s survival intelligence.
The sequence was captured by a visitor named Patrick Ellis, a 60-year-old aficionado of wildlife, who was visiting the National Park with his wife, Topez, and their son, Daniel, on the 15th of September.
In its pursuit of water, the elephant squatted, using her trunk as an excavation tool allowing her to dig into the earth. This was not a whimsical act but rather a strategic one caused by the local water resources drying up due to drought, and the elephant had adapted by searching for the elusive underground deal.
