Despite being the offspring of Hollywood royalty, Johnny Depp’s son, Jack, 22, has shunned the limelight for a more low-key career path.

Reports have surfaced that he’s been working as a bartender at a local Parisian bar. Jack, whose mother is singer Vanessa Paradis, has chosen a different direction than his sister Lily-Rose, preferring to stay out of the public eye. Johnny Depp’s son has been employed at L’Area, a renowned Lebanese restaurant in Bastille, known for its popularity among the music and fashion crowd, with celebs like Matt Damon and Matt Dillon reportedly frequenting the spot.

A recent review praised L’Area, saying: “Excellent! Always a warm welcome and delicious experience at this cosy restaurant. Good food and a wonderful host.”

MailOnline notes that Jack has been multitasking at the venue, working both behind the bar and in the kitchen preparing mezze. Social media posts from the restaurant show Jack on duty, and there are snaps of Lily-Rose too, mixing drinks.

After two years at L’Area, Jack left a few months back, but the buzz is that owner Edouard Chueke anticipates his return next year, reports the Mirror.

Edouard, in a chat with the magazine, expressed his fondness for Jack: “Jack is a great guy; he keeps out of the limelight, but worked here behind the bar and in the kitchen. He was a good employee, he left a few months ago but I expect him back later next year. Good staff are hard to find. I’ve been running this place for 15 years and it’s very popular with the fashion and music crowd, but also film stars come here, and Jack’s mum Vanessa Paradis and sister are regulars.”

On Lilys stint at the bar, he added: “Lily was mixing caipirinhas behind the bar and really getting into the swing of it, she was enjoying herself.”

Despite her parents’ fame, Vanessa and Johnny have always been intent on shielding their children from the spotlight, aiming for them to lead normal lives. In a conversation with a Belgian publication in 2007, Vanessa said: “Now I indeed keep them away from the cameras because I don’t want our children to be forced to share in our fame against their will. They didn’t ask for that. Not yet. The day that they will decide for themselves to do things that might bring them into the spotlights, then I won’t stop.”

While Lily-Rose has entered showbiz mirroring her father, Jack has remained low-key.

But according to Lily-Rose’s Interview magazine discussion, she earned Jacks nod of approval for her latest horror flick.

She shared: “This one in particular was big for me, because my brother and I both were super obsessed with Dracula when we were younger. My brother used to dress up like Dracula when he was a kid for school. I was like ‘Wow, if I get this part my brother’s going to finally think I’m cool.'” She continued: “It’s the classic thing of when you have a younger sibling, they think you are so cool when you’re kids, and then when you get older, now I think he’s so cool, and I’m like ‘Let’s hang! ‘ And he’s like, ‘I’m busy’ but yeah I think I got some points with this one.”

While Lily-Rose has followed her father into acting, Johnny Depp expressed relief that his son didn’t follow suit. In 2014, the Hollywood star said: “My boy, jack, has always been a very talented draftsman. He draws really super well. He also plays music very well. He’s got a good feel for that. Aside from school plays and things, he hasn’t shown any desire to become an actor. Whew.”
