A 33-year-old Kentucky woman is blaming her alleged “sugar daddy” for manipulating her into murdering her two sons, according to detectives.
Tiffanie Ann Katherine Lucas claimed that the man had been manipulating her mind for three years and drove her to kill the children. The shift in blame comes after Lucas was sentenced to consecutive life sentences for the murder of Maurice Peanut Baker Jr., 6, and Jayden Howard, 9, in Shepherdsville, about 20 miles south of Louisville in late 2023.
During her trial, Lucas pleaded guilty in October to two counts of first-degree murder after initially mounting an insanity defense. Law and Crime reported that they had managed to obtain a record of Lucas’s interview with the police. In the video, a detective with the Bullitt County Sheriffs Office asked why she would murder her kids. I would never do something like this unless someone manipulated me, she said.

Lucas went on to say that she had a sugar daddy who had been manipulating her over the phone and reportedly told her that she should kill her kids as well as giving her the gun to do so. Hes been putting stuff up in my house, she said. Real evil, dark, weird stuff.
The woman insisted that she was a good woman and a really good mom. She continued, I feel like its not me, she said. Im right with God, so its not me. Im not in my mind. Its not me. It just isnt.
Lucas has yet to admit to the slaying nor could she tell police how many shots were fired. I have no words, she said. It was previously reported by the outlet that Lucas allegedly believes that gaming consoles such as a PlayStation and YouTube videos manipulate the minds of her children.
I know I look crazy but Im not crazy, she told the detective. I love my children. I love my boys so much. I wouldnt have hurt them but I just felt like I was letting them play the video games and I wasnt like focusing how I was supposed to, you know?”
“Video games and the YouTube and the kids, it just messes their minds up to where people can manipulate their parents or do whatever they want,” added Lucas. In the video, Luscas later admits to firing four shots in 30 seconds while claiming it was an accident.” Lucas also claimed that she was manipulated through Facebook, through the internet or through Wi-Fi [] into doing what she did.
It was reported by The Express that despite the heinous nature of her crime, Lucas showed no sign of remorse and instead became preoccupied with the deputy’s hand gestures during the interrogation. during the interview, She admonished the officer, “I’m watching you on camera move your fingers several times. You just keep moving them. Stop. I’m watching. It’s not right.”
The harrowing incident unfolded as Lucas’ neighbor dialed 911 on November 8, 2023, after discovering Lucas in a state of distress on her driveway, wailing that her children “were dying.” Responding officers discovered that the two boys had suffered fatal gunshot wounds to their heads
