An Oklahoma man has reportedly been arrested after he allegedly killed a father and daughter in a Walmart parking lot on Wednesday afternoon. It was reported by Fox affiliate KOKH that Shane Allison, 30, had been picked up by police and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.
It was later reported by the outlet that as of Thursday, the attempted murder charge had been upgraded to another first-degree murder charge. The upped charge comes after Allison was accused of shooting Christina Alewine, 46, and her father Gary Mulbery, 81, at the Woodward Walmart.
According to police, Alewine was pronounced dead at the scene while Mulbery was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead. It was reported that a motive has yet to be established. The arrest comes after a Texas father accidentally shot and killed his son with Down Syndrome after mistaking him for an intruder.

Houston attorney Michael C. Howard, 68, told investigators that he accidentally killed his 20-year-old son, Mark Randall Howard, with a shotgun at a home he owns in Sabine County on Sunday evening, Sabine County Sheriff’s Office Deputy JP MacDonough reports. It was also reported that Howard waited to contact authorities about the shooting on Monday, 17 hours after it happened.
According to the Sheriff’s office, Howard allegedly used a tractor backhoe to transport his son’s body about 2 miles away to a remote area on his over 2,500-acre property. He then placed the body on a wood trash pile and “cremated” him. Authorities stated that Howard and his son had arrived at the Sabine County home on either Thursday or Friday.
Officials stated that, during a search of the property, deputies discovered body parts and bones in the trash pile and sent them to the medical examiner’s office in the nearby Jefferson County. Howard allegedly told investigators the entire incident was a “horrible accident.”
MacDonough stated that Howard told investigators that he “cremated his son in accordance with what he felt his son would have wanted.” Despite the claims, MacDonough was still suspicious of the man’s motives.
“It is a bizarre crime anywhere you are just because of the nature of the event,” MacDonough remarked. “Mr. Howard committed this act and in the furtherance of that, burned the body and cleaned the crime scene, which as an investigator, I would take as indicative of nefarious purposes or for nefarious purposes.”
According to the Law enforcement officer, despite having Down syndrome, Howard’s son could still function and was gainfully employed. Just two days prior to the tragic incident, authorities were called by Howard to report stolen property, including a large mower and a trailer. MacDonough refrained from commenting on whether the thefts might have influenced Howard’s perception of his son as an intruder.
Howard faces charges of murder and tampering with evidence, with the possibility of additional charges being filed. He is currently being held in the county jail with bonds totaling $20 million.
