Prince William spoke candidly about his dreams for the future his three children will inherit as he attended an awards show on Wednesday.
The Prince of Wales delivered a speech at the Tusk Conservation Awards in London, England. During the talk, he said, “I want my children to live in a world where swallows still migrate, gorillas still live in the cloud forests of Uganda and rhinos still roam the arid rangelands of Namibia.”
William was also on hand to give out three awards at the ceremony. Elsewhere at the event, the royal paid tribute to rangers who have died in their work.

“The sobering Roll of Honor that we saw earlier recognises the Rangers who lost their lives and serves as a reminder of the ultimate price paid by too many on the frontline of conservation,” he said.
The Prince of Wales also met with celebrity ambassadors for the charity. William is a patron for the Tusk Conservation and helped launch the awards back in 2013.
The Tusk Conservation Awards aim to recognize the hard work of those involved in conservation efforts across Africa. William recently traveled to South Africa as part of his Earshot Awards.
During the trip, he met with young activists in Cape Town as part of the inaugural Earthshot Prize Climate Leaders Youth Program. William said the youngsters were “going to change the world.”
He said, “The Earthshot Prize believes in you and the reason we set the prize up is for moments like this.” William added, “All of you in this room are future changemakers, you’re the leaders, you’re the people going to make the difference going forwards. It’s your platform, use it as you need to, take it away, play with it, turn it into something different. Because we believe in you and what you’re going to do is change the world, I really believe that.”
