Russell Brand has spoken out on attending Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs’ infamous “freak off” parties while he was still married to popstar Katy Perry.
In a new vlog blog, according to reports by The New Zealand Herald, the controversial comedian defended his appearance at Diddy’s parties. These “freak off” parties have been reported to allegedly include nonconsensual sex, copious amounts of drugs, and unseen videography. Diddy’s lawyer has denied claims that non-consensual acts occurred at the parties.
The 49-year-old English podcaster claimed that because he was married to Katy at the time, he only briefly joined one of these parties and that he called it a night before anything morally questionable took place. The former Bedtime Stories star explained: “I spent most of the time talking to Tom Green and I left about 7 oclock because I was married at the time.”

Russell went on to add: “Im glad I did as it turns out there was stuff that went on that I was not qualified to handle as a person that is craving a deep and profound connection to God. When denied that connection to God, Ill make all sorts of ridiculous choices. How would you do if back in the day you were invited to a Diddy party?”
He continued: “I told you about the time I went to Vegas with Diddy. And I went home early and had a little Diddy party on my own. Which was actually above board and legit. Thank you heavenly Father for being there with me even at the moments in my life where I felt most vulnerable and exposed.
This comes as Diddy and Russell have both been hit with sexual abuse claims within the last year. In mid-September, Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs was arrested on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. The rapper is currently housed at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York as he awaits his 2025 trial. Diddy has denied all allegations against him and pleaded not guilty in court.
As for Russell, the actor was accused of sexual assault and emotional abuse by four women. He has also publicly denied these claims. Diddy and Russell first met while they were working together on the 2010 hit comedy film Get Him To The Greek directed by Nicholas Stoller. After wrapping up filming, Diddy spoke highly of Russell telling Newsbeat: “Russell’s style is quick and witty, you have to be quick to keep up with it – he’s brilliant.”
