Saturday Night Live was met with a very unexpected guest this week as controversial influencer Trisha Patyas made a surprise cameo appearance on the talk show.
Trisha made her first-ever SNL debut this week as she participated in a Spotify wrapped sketch alongside Gladiator II star Paul Mescal. During the skit, the Hollywood actor is showing off his 2024 Spotify wrapped and shows a clip from the fictional artists podcast featuring Trisha as a guest. In the video, she said: “Hey, b——-!” To which comedian Satoshi Gutman replies: “What do we always say, Trisha?” Then together say in unison: “The best bussy is celibacy.
Comedian Sarah Sherman then chimes in: “this is so insane.” And Paul responds: “Spotify wrapped is not about judging people. Its about sharing the soundtrack of your life. Call me crazy, but I think thats something to celebrate.”

And as Trisha made a shock appearance in the skit and in the final closing number, many fans were taken aback that she was invited after her problematic time in the spotlight. On X, formerly Twitter, one viewer wrote: “paul mescal saying ‘thank you to trisha paytas’ guys what universe are we in.”
And another wrote: “Paul mescal and Trisha paytas in the same sentence? This timeline is running on pure chaos energy, and I’m here for it.” While a third chimed in: “Truly a wild timeline! Pop culture moments like this feel straight out of a fever dream.” While someone else replied: “What reality is this? This is unreal.”
Trisha rose to fame through her chaotic YouTube vlogs in which she shares her music videos, fashion and beauty tips, relationship advice, mukbangs, and more. Over the years Trisha has gone on to accumulated roughly 5 million subscribers on the platform and almost one billion lifetime views.
And while some love Trisha for her over-the-top personality and quirky sense of humor, she has been at the center of many controversies over the years. While there have been a number of times Trisha has sparked outrage online, one of her most famous incidents was in October of 2019 when she came out as a transgender man but refused to change her pronouns. She was also met with a string of hate after she previously “self-identified” as a chicken nugget.
