Taylor Swift emotionally shared with fans at her Eras Tour how she “never wanted” the global trek to end.
The 34-year-old superstar, who is wrapping up the 20-month-long tour in Canada come Sunday night, confessed during her penultimate performance that it’s been the “most fun, joyful, exciting” adventure of her career.
Addressing her adoring audience at Saturday’s (07.12. 24) show in Vancouver’s BC Place, Taylor expressed: “This is the most fun, joyful, exciting, intense, powerful and wonderful tour I have ever done, and thats all because of the way that you have treated it. Theres a reason why this is my longest tour Ive ever done. Ive never played this many shows on a tour before, and its just cause I really never wanted it to end, because you guys have made it into such a wonderful experience for all of us on stage.”

The ‘Anti-Hero’ singer – set to conclude with an impressive count of 149 concerts witnessed by over four and a half million followers since its Arizona inception in March 2023 – also mentioned the unexpected trendsetters among her fanbase, the Swifties, who’ve turned friendship bracelets into a staple symbol of the tour after just a single lyric mention in her 2022 hit ‘You’re On Your Own Kid’.
She continued: “I wrote one line in a song that mentions make the friendship bracelets, and I show up to the first show of the Eras Tour, and you guys made friendship bracelets, youre trading friendship bracelets, youre making friends, and now I feel like, friendship bracelets, youve kinda made that idea synonymous with the ‘Eras’ tour.”
“Thats a pretty wild thing you can do and thats just one of the things.”
Taylor Swift made history in many ways with her record-breaking Eras Tour. Not only was it the highest-grossing tour of all time, but Taylor also broke attendance records at seven different venues.
While the singer had record-breaking attendance at her Eras Tour stops, there were still fans who didn’t get to see the show live. Because of this, a filmed version of her concert was released in movie theaters. The film went on to become the highest-grossing concert movie of all time.
