Terry Bradshaw is under pressure to apologize to Russell Wilson following his comments about the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback.
The veteran FOX NFL Sunday analyst, 76, has been vocal in his scepticism about Wilson, 35, who is approaching the twilight of his glittering career. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin raised eyebrows when he swapped Justin Fields out for Wilson, sparking heated debates.
Bradshaw was among those critical of the decision, declaring prior to a game last month: “I totally disagree with this decision by Mike Tomlin, the head coach. I would stay with Fields. I’m telling you there’s something wrong with Wilson that I don’t know about. In my opinion, Wilson should not be starting today.”

However, Tomlin’s bold move has proved successful, with Wilson steering the team to consecutive wins against the New York Jets and Giants after being thrust into the starting lineup before Week 7. His performances, boasting 36 completions for 542 yards and three touchdowns, have since made some of his doubters, including two-time Super Bowl champion Chris Long, eat their words.
On his podcast, Long admitted: “I know I’ve already said this, but I wanted to make sure I said it – this is my public apology tour on one topic, and that’s Russell Wilson. I’ve gotten a lot of things right over the last year. This is one that I didn’t get right. Justin Fields didn’t do quite enough, and [Wilson] might be perfect for what they’re trying to do.

“He might be perfect for this coordinator. He might be perfect for taking advantage of the shots, the shot opportunities that we didn’t even know were there, the play-action.”
Given Wilson’s recent form, a red-faced Bradshaw may feel compelled to follow in Long’s footsteps and take back his earlier remarks about the former Super Bowl champion.
