Horror unfolded over the weekend as three party-goers in their twenties were shot and killed before the house they were gathered in was set on fire.
On November 16 around 1:30 a.m. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene after multiple people were shot dead while they were attending a house party in Antelope Valley, California. When officers arrived at the home, they saw the residence lit up in flames and four victims on the front lawn bleeding after suffering gunshot wounds.
The fifth person involved was reportedly discovered unharmed inside the home and was found shaken up and hiding inside her bedroom. According to reports by KTLA, the young woman was “fearing for her life.” Of the five people involved, three people were killed and a fourth person was hospitalized for their injuries.

According to reports by the LA Times, two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene and a third victim passed away while paramedics performed CPR on them after being pulled out of the burning home. The identities of the five victims involved have not yet been revealed, but officials confirmed the three people that died were all “young adults in their 20s.”
As for the fire, Los Angeles County Fire Department Battalion Chief Randy Perry confirmed that the flames were put out within 10 minutes. The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are also still clouded in mystery.
In the aftermath of the incident different California agencies shared contradictory statements regarding the whereabouts of the gunman. It was originally reported by the Los Angeles County Fire Department that the killer was located and had been taken into custody. But later, Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Lt. Steve De Jong said that authorities are not sure if the gunman was actually in custody, still on the loose, or one of the three victims who died that night.
Jong said: “Right now we dont know what caused this or what occurred. So, we have some people to interview to determine if the suspect is among the deceased or is at large.”
