Chloë Grace Moretz officially came out as a gay woman on Saturday while showing her support for Kamala Harris.
The “Kick Ass” star made the announcement on Instagram as she shared her public endorsement for the vice president and revealed she voted early for the 2024 US presidential election.
“I voted early and I voted for Kamala Harris,” Moretz wrote next to a photo of a red, white and blue sticker with the words “I voted early 2024” written across it. “There is so much on the line this election.”
“I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor. Kamala Harris will protect that for us,” she continued.
“I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman. We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve.”
She closed her message by urging her followers to get to the polls with their friends.
While this is the first time Moretz has publicly revealed her sexual orientation, she’s been rumored to be dating Kate Harrison since 2018, when they were spotted locking lips outside of Nobu Malibu in California.
In what appeared to be an eventful date night, the couple then took their party to Soho House before they left arm-in-arm and stopped to enjoy a lengthy makeout session.
Before connecting with Harrison, Moretz was in a romantic relationship with ex Brooklyn Beckham.
Moretz, who has two gay brothers, has long been an advocate for the LGBTQ community.
