Sean “P.Diddy” Combs’ past comments are coming home to roost amid his sex trafficking and racketeering case.
Throughout the disgraced music mogul’s 30-year-long career, he’s been interviewed countless times. With him being arrested and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution and slammed with over 100 more allegations, his past interview comments are becoming closely analyzed. Recently a clip from an interview that the rapper did before he was arrested resurfaced on social media.
Circulating on TikTok is the part of the interview where the Bad Boy Records founder spoke on the feud between the late rappers Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls in the 1990s.
“When we had got hit with Hit ‘Em Up, I had to make the call to Biggie, and I said: ‘We not gon’ respond, somebody’s gon’ get hurt if we respond,’” Diddy said, referencing Tupac’s iconic diss track towards Biggie, Hit ‘Em Up.

Diddy, Bad Boy Records, and the artists attached to Diddy’s label such as Biggie, along with anyone inside Diddy or Biggie’s close circle, were verbally attacked in the record. Hit ‘Em Up greatly fueled the East Coast – West Coast rivalry that led to the demise of Tupac, who died in September 1996, and his arch nemesis Biggie, who died in March 1997.
“Tupac hit us with Hit ‘Em Up, and that joint was cold…,” Diddy explained. The Harlem native went on to divulge that if he and Biggie were ever at a party and a DJ spun Tupac’s diss track they would “take their turntable.” Diddy speaking on Tupac in this manner reignited fan theories about his connection to the Poetic Justice star’s murder. For years many hip-hop fans have speculated that Diddy allegedly was involved in Tupac’s killing.
However, this is unsubstantiated and Diddy has never been formally accused of any involvement. Nevertheless, Tupac’s family recently employed New York attorney Alex Spiro to investigate whether there might be a connection between Diddy and the death of the late 90s rap star.
Ex-gang leader Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who was arrested and charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon in connection to the shooting that killed Tupac, alleged Diddy offered him $1 million to kill him.
Getting Alex on the case appears to show the family’s seriousness about investigating Diddy since the lawyer has represented some big names such as Elon Musk and Diddy’s friend Jay-Z. Diddy has long denied the allegation that he had anything to do with Tupac’s murder.
Currently Diddy is being jailed at Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, as he awaits to go to trial.
