The once-celebrated music mogul was arrested on September 16, facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all allegations.
In a surprising twist, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs once expressed a desire to invite Prince William and Prince Harry to his parties. This moment resurfaced from a 2011 appearance on The Graham Norton Show, where he humorously suggested that the royal brothers should have joined him for some adventurous nights, aiming to make headlines of their own as “young bucks.”
Diddy reminisced, saying, “Back when they were young bucks getting into all sorts of trouble, I thought, ‘Why don’t you come hang out with me?’” When asked during the interview if he still wished to invite them, he quipped, “Not anymore… they’re off the list,” prompting laughter from the audience.
However, in light of the disgraced rapper’s recent indictment on multiple lawsuits, this clip takes on a much darker significance. Notably, neither Prince William nor Prince Harry is known to have ever attended one of Diddy’s parties.
The interview also featured British comedian Sarah Millican and actor Vince Vaughn, who chimed in about their own party experiences with Diddy, including a notorious bash hosted by David Beckham.
Notably, William’s wedding to Kate Middleton was just around the corner, prompting Norton to quip, “Don’t ruin our royal wedding for us,” to which the rapper playfully insisted, “Trust me, they’re off the list.'”
The incident serves as an unwelcoming reminder of William and Harry’s former ties to Diddy, who they were photographed warmly greeting after the ‘Concert for Diana’ in 2007.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ disturbing connection with Justin Beiber now under scrutiny
Fast forward to September 2024, and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ once-jovial remarks have taken on a more serious tone following his legal troubles. Authorities raided his lavish mansions in Los Angeles and Miami, allegedly uncovering over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant, linked to what prosecutors describe as the rapper’s coercive activities involving extended encounters.
As scrutiny grows around Diddy’s social circle and the allegations surrounding his parties, the spotlight has shifted to his past relationships with other celebrities, including Justin Bieber. Once taken under Diddy’s wing, Bieber has since been spotted appearing visibly uncomfortable around him in resurfaced footage.
Fans of the pop star have revisited a heartfelt moment from 2020, where he tearfully expressed a desire to protect fellow artist Billie Eilish from the harsh realities of the music industry, sharing, “I just want to protect her. I don’t want her to go through anything I went through. I don’t wish that upon anybody.”
Cassie Ventura’s allegations against ex-boyfriend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
Furthermore, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, filed a lawsuit in November 2023 claiming that the rapper had been abusive toward her throughout their relationship. He allegedly paid an undisclosed sum, rumored to be in the millions, to settle the suit within a day.
In May of this year, CNN published a gut-wrenching surveillance video from 2016 in which Diddy appeared to assault Ventura in the hallway of a hotel. The actions seen in the video reportedly seemed to match the claims made by Ventura in her lawsuit.
Two days after the video came to light, the music mogul issued an apology saying, “My behavior on that video is inexcusable.” He had previously denied Ventura’s allegation
Currently, Diddy remains in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial. His bail requests have been rejected. He faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars and a maximum sentence of life in prison if found guilty.
