Family First: Diddy’s Loved Ones Show Their Support at Hearing.Phuong

Mom and six children came to the hearing on rapper Diddy’s series of sex scandal allegations to support him, on October 10.

According to the NY Post , Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, 84, and his five biological children, Justin Combs, 31, King Combs, 26, Chance Combs, and twin sisters Jessie James Combs and D’Lila Star Combs, both 18, traveled from Florida to the federal court in Manhattan. Quincy Brown, 33, the stepchild of Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, who was adopted by Diddy, also attended.

A source close to Diddy’s family said the children were happy to support their father. “The whole family is united and he’s happy to see them here,” the source added. The NY Post noted that Diddy looked comfortable in court, repeatedly expressing affection for his family members. He smiled and waved to his son King Combs in the courtroom, hugging his defense attorneys. The rapper also blew kisses to Janice Combs, repeatedly saying “I love you” before being taken back to jail.

The NY Post reported that the 45-minute hearing was presided over by Judge Arun Subramanian. Diddy is currently facing three charges: sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit extortion, and transportation of persons for prostitution. To date, more than 100 people have filed sexual assault charges against him, including 25 victims who were minors. At the hearing, prosecutor Emily Johnson said her office may file additional charges against Diddy, stressing that “the investigation is not over.” She said authorities were turning over evidence to Diddy’s legal team, adding that security forces seized 96 “electronic devices” during raids on the rapper’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami in March.

Johnson also criticized Diddy’s team’s request for a court order barring prosecutors and federal agents from disclosing information about the case to the media in court documents filed on October 9. In the document, Diddy’s lawyers accused the federal government of sending CNN a video of the rapper beating his girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel hallway in 2016. She said the request was “simply a way for the defense to dismiss damning evSean “Diddy” Combs is in the spotlight in Hollywood due to a sex scandal. However, prosecutors agreed to seek a restraining order on the condition that Diddy’s camp comply. Johnson explained that one of Diddy’s lawyers, Marc Agnifilo, gave a “disturbing” interview to TMZ on September 26, in which he accused the federal government of targeting his client because he is black. Johnson called that argument “baseless,” and tantamount to accusing the government of “engaging in a racially discriminatory prosecution.” Judge Subramanian asked the two sides to try to work out the terms of the restraining order between themselves.

Also during the hearing, the judge asked Agnifilo about Diddy’s living conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he is being held separately from other inmates. Agnifilo said the prison catered to Diddy’s needs, saying he was in good spirits while there, except for his eating habits, which he had trouble adjusting to.

The judge set Diddy’s trial for May 5, 2025.
