Ex-member of the obsolete Bad Boy Records music group Da Band Freddy P recently unveiled specifically why he and his team were ordered to get Diddy dessert on the show
Diddy notoriously made contestants on his early aughts reality show MTV’s Making The Band walk to get cheesecake for a certain superstar, and apparently not himself as he claimed on the show.
Ex-member of the obsolete Bad Boy Records music group Da Band Freddy P recently unveiled specifically why he and his team were ordered to get Diddy dessert on the show. In an episode from Making The Band’s second season, Diddy demanded the group walk three hours from Manhattan to Brooklyn to pick him up some cheesecake from the iconic New York cheesecake shop Junior’s.
Freddy P spoke on that shocking moment that has become cemented in reality TV history during his appearance on The Art of Dialogue after Diddy was arrested on sex trafficking charges last week.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him.

“Okay, fun fact a lot of people don’t know—that cheesecake we went and got was for Beyonce,” Freddy claimed during his sit-down interview. “She was upstairs the whole time.”
He added, “At first [Diddy] was like, ‘I want some cheesecake,’ but we took all night to do the process, right? So when we got back, it was like four or five in the morning.”
Freddy further divulged that when the group got back from Junior’s, Diddy then ordered they deliver the cheesecake upstairs to the Single Ladies singer. He didn’t confirm or deny if Beyonce knew that the group had to walk three hours to get the sweet treat.
Freddy also said that he and his Making The Band co-star Dylan were the only members of the group who didn’t walk back to Manhattan from Brooklyn. While the other members thought what they were doing went against Diddy’s original demand, when they later informed the music mogul about Freddy and Dylan’s decision, Diddy agreed with it.
Freddy claimed that Diddy told the rest of the group that he didn’t “tell them” to walk back. He isn’t the only Da Band Member who also suggested that the cheesecake they had to walk to get was for Queen Bey and not Diddy. Former Da Band member Sara Rivers mentioned in an interview she did in 2015 that Beyonce may have been the one who consumed the cheesecake.
“I think the next day, maybe Beyonce or someone else ate the cheesecake,” Sara claimed. “I’m not sure exactly who it was because I wasn’t there to see if they ate it or not, but that’s what I heard—that Beyoncé or someone who came to the studio had the cheesecake.”
