General Hospital fans finally saw a former power couple come face-to-face.
Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) came back to Port Charles to see if he was a match for his sister Lulu, who needs a liver transplant. On Monday’s episode of the hit soap opera, after tests were run to see if he was a match, the recently-returned character visited his comatose sister’s bedside.
Afterwards, Lucky stopped by Bobbie’s and saw Liz (Rebecca Hearbst) inside. He entered just as Liz turned from the counter. They locked eyes before the screen faded to black and the episode ends.

Liz and Lucky first met in 1997 on the show when they were teenagers. They eventually got married (twice) and had a son, Aiden (Tristan Riggs), before divorcing. Lucky then disappeared for years.
Some fans were excited to see the two back together face to face. “FINALLY!! LIZZY & LUCKY REUNITED!!” one fan wrote on X, formally known as Twitter.
Another pointed out the significance of the moment. “Lucky is outside Bobbie’s and sees Elizabeth inside and they lay eyes on each other. It’s the first place they met in 1997,” they penned.
“Elizabeth and Lucky come face to face … I’m feeling it! #GH,” a third added.
However, some weren’t as excited for the reunion. “Wish they’d quit forcing these 2! It was cute back in the day, but not anymore, she’s grown!” one X user commented.
“I really hope they don’t pair Liz with Lucky; their relationship was so toxic. #GH,” another chimed in.
It appears the two will talk about how Lucky wasn’t there for Aiden, as he tells his ex-wife: “I won’t make him any promises that I can’t keep,” in the teaser for an upcoming episode.
One fan believed that there wouldn’t be anything between Lucky and Liz, as he returned to Port Charles for another reason. “It’s a non-starter for me with Lucky. He didn’t come back for Aiden or Liz—he came back for his sister. He had years to return. I hope Liz tells him off tomorrow,” they said.
But annoyingly for General Hospital fans, the show won’t be on again until Thursday. The show will be replaced Tuesday and Wednesday with MLB playoff games.
