The mother of a toddler was arrested after police say she has left her baby unattended six times in the past
The mother of a toddler has been arrested after a bus driver found her three-year-old was found by a Centro bus driver wandering around in the rain alone.
According to the unidentified driver, she found the boy roaming the streets in the 700 block of Bleeker Street in Utica, NY at 5:45am Thursday. Police later stated that at the time of discovery, it was cold and rainy and that the child was clad only his diaper, reports Syracuse.com.
Police later said that when they arrived at the scene, the driver had swaddled the child in a sweatshirt.
Police later said that they recognized the child as this was allegedly the sixth time that the child had been left unsupervised by his mother, according to NBC affiliate WSTM.

According to authorities, when they went to the child’s residence, all the doors were wide open. Cops managed to rouse the mother from her sleep and informed her of her child’s return. Due to the repeated acts of letting her child run freely, 31-year-old Shara Harrison was arrested and taken to Utica Police Department.
Harrison is currently being held on charges of endangering the welfare of a child.
