LeBron James has come under fire after comments he made about Sean ‘P.Diddy’ Combs’ parties resurfaced.
The Los Angeles Lakers star has avoided any major controversies during his two decades in the NBA but a video of James talking with P.Diddy about his parties has now gone viral.
A clip showed James on a live stream with the rapper in 2020 where he said: “Ain’t no party like a diddy party”. The video comes as P. Diddy was arrested on Sept. 16 after being indicted on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy has vehemently denied the allegations.

The disgraced hip-hop mogul was arrested by federal agents in New York on Monday last. The artist has been accused of using drugs to force female victims and male sex workers into sexual encounters that could sometimes “last for days”.
P.Diddy’s properties in Miami and Los Angeles were searched by authorities, among things seized from Diddy’s place in March were 1,000 bottles of baby oil, which were allegedly used for “freak-offs”. Diddy pled not guilty to the charges at a hearing in a Manhattan court on Sept. 17.

James has faced pressure to address the video, including from outspoken political commentator and pundit Candace Owens, who wrote on her X profile: “Is Lebron James going to weigh in on his friend’s “freak offs”? I mean we hear from “the king” on virtually every political issue so this seems like an odd one to stay quiet about.”
Other comments have called the NBA icon out on the video, with one account saying: “Really, LeBron James?” While a second account said: “That didn’t age well”. A photo has also gone viral on social media showing James wearing a maid outfit, though its authenticity has been questioned, with the image appearing to be AI-generated.
The status of the relationship between the pair is unclear and the implications of the ongoing saga remain to be seen for the four-time NBA champion. Their children were seen vacationing together earlier this year, reports the Mail, before James allegedly unfollowed Diddy on Instagram.
Diddy is being held in the Special Housing Unit of a Brooklyn jail and has reportedly been placed on suicide watch. Diddy’s team have filed a motion for bail, which has been rejected multiple times, citing that the jail is “not fit for pre-trial detention” and has “horrific conditions”.
LeBron James’ representatives have been contacted by Mirror U.S. Sport for comment on this story.
