Showbiz pals of Sean “Diddy” Combs have been deleting photos of themselves with the star – as he settled a rape and abuse lawsuit with singer and ex-girlfriend Cassie.
The performer filed a lawsuit against Diddy on Thursday alleging that he had raped her and also psychologically and physically abused her throughout the course of their decade-long relationship
But the case was settled in a single day, with lawyers announcing the claims had been resolved “amicably” to the “mutual satisfaction” of both parties involved – but did not disclose any further details, including the value of any payout.
The allegations came just a week after Diddy hosted a bash for his 54th birthday, inviting all of his closest pals over to partake in the celebrations for him and his latest album — including Naomi Campbell and Janet Jackson.
Campbell and Jackson posted pics with the Bad Boy Records founder taken at the party, then seemingly deleted them once Cassie’s allegations came to light. By Friday, both women’s Instagram pages had been wiped clean of the party photos.

Cassie and Diddy began dating when she was just 19 back in 2005. Diddy was 37. That was when the control started, court documents obtained by The Mirror alleged, as Diddy “lured Ms. Ventura into an ostentatious, fast-paced and drug-fuelled lifestyle” which eventually turned into an all-out romance.
Now 37, Cassie alleged in the suit that Diddy was “prone to uncontrollable rage,” recounting multiple times in which he allegedly subjected her to “savage” beatings that included punching, kicking and stomping on her. He also allegedly forced her to have sex with other men, then would watch as she did.

She was forced into drug use as well, which some believe was also a coping mechanism for the severely abused youth. The rape allegedly occurred in 2018 when Cassie attempted to end her then-13-year relationship with the producer. Court documents read: “When she believed that she had finally separated from her long-time abuser, she joined Mr. Combs for a dinner, after which he forced her into his home and raped her while she repeatedly said ‘no’ and tried to push him away.”
There had also been a “power imbalance” between the two given both their nearly two-decade age gap and their positions relative to one another, with Diddy being Cassie’s boss. She had described him at one point as “one of the most powerful men in the entertainment industry.”

Diddy’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, said in a statement on Thursday, the day the case was filed in the Federal District Court in Manhattan, that “Mr Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” adding that Cassie had been demanding $30million from him for the past six months “under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship,” which he said his client “unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.”
He said the new suit only sought to “tarnish” Diddy’s reputation and result in a “payday” for Cassie. This comes after Douglas Wigdor, Cassie’s lawyer, said that she had been offered but declined an eight-figure payout from Diddy that would have silenced her and prevented her from taking legal action against him.
Wigdor added that Cassie had filed the suit to accrue unspecified damages as well as “compensatory damages including consequential damages, lost wages, earning and all other sums of money, together with interest on these amounts, according to proof” and payments for “mental pain and anguish.”

The lawsuit was dropped on Friday and resolved “amicably” to the “mutual satisfaction” of both parties involved, but none of the terms of the deal were discussed. Both made statements about the closing of the case, with Diddy adding that he wishes Cassie and her family “all the best.” Diddy and his team were contacted for comment by The Mirror, which normally wouldn’t identify the victim of an alleged sexual assault. In this case, Cassie had come forward about it publicly.
