Second time’s the charm.
Jax Taylor resubmitted his divorce petition Thursday in Los Angeles under the representation of attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, according to court documents obtained Friday by Page Six.
The “Valley” star, 45, made some mistakes in his previous filing while representing himself.
In Taylor’s initial paperwork, which he submitted late last month, he claimed he and his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, were never legally married and gave her full custody of their only child, 3-year-old son Cruz.
“While Jax made errors in filling out forms that are usually done by trained legal professionals, those errors will be amended without delay,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alum’s rep told us in a statement Wednesday.
The rep did not specify which part of Taylor’s filing was incorrect but noted that custody was not an issue in the former couple’s divorce.
“Jax and Brittany have already long resolved all matters related to custody of Cruz and will continue to work together privately for the best interest of their son, which remains their overriding concern,” the rep added.
After Taylor’s blunders made headlines, Cartwright, 35, savagely reacted in an Instagram comment.
“We are legally married,” she explained publicly. “I’m guessing filling out paperwork is hard for some people.”
Taylor and the Kentucky native, who also stars on “The Valley,” tied the knot in her home state in a June 2019 ceremony officiated by Lance Bass.
The former *NSYNC member also weighed in on Taylor’s gaffes, replying to Cartwright’s Instagram comment, “I can confirm this. Pastor Lance signed the papers.”
The Bravolebrities welcomed their baby boy in April 2021.
Taylor spent the majority of August at an in-patient mental health treatment center, explaining to fans beforehand that he wanted to work on his “serious anger issues” and “get better” for Cruz.
Upon returning home from the facility — where he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder, and learned he’s a narcissist — the former model was handed divorce papers.
A few days later, Cartwright addressed the divorce for the first time on her and Taylor’s joint podcast, “When Reality Hits.”
“It’s taken me many, many years to get to this point where I gained enough courage and strength to do what’s best for me, get myself out of a toxic relationship and ultimately see my worth,” the brunette beauty explained to their listeners.
